What we’ve worked on
Strategic planning support
- City of Perth – development of a comprehensive Community Needs Study that captured secondary and primary data and community engagement outcomes; prioritised key issues; and identified potential opportunities to improve community wellbeing within the City of Perth as part of the Perth for People project (link to news item)
- Riverland Region – development of an evidence-based Advocacy and Funding Strategy drawing on robust secondary research and stakeholder engagement in order to direct the efforts, resources and advocacy priorities of the Region
- Good Samaritan Industries – facilitation of a strategic planning day that explored purpose, strategic priorities and risk.
- Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association – facilitation of a strategic planning day with the MRBTA board and executive team to explore, critically assess and plan for key strategic issues, opportunities and risks.
- Perth Theatre Trust – facilitation of a strategic planning workshop with the PTT Board of Trustees incorporating scenario planning methodologies.
Stakeholder and community engagement
- City of Perth – extensive community engagement to inform the development of a Community Needs Study and the establishment of baseline data for a community wellbeing indicators framework. Engagement methodologies included: stakeholder and community workshops, one-on-one interviews, an online survey, and children and youth engagement using gamification
- Riverland Region – stakeholder workshops, online survey, elected member and executive engagement to inform an Advocacy and Funding Strategy
- Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association (MRBTA) – stakeholder engagement to inform brand strategy and creative brand development
- Asthma Foundation WA – the design and development of a stakeholder engagement model to support and facilitate cooperation between external partners
Research and data collection
- City of Perth – primary data collection including survey design and analysis, plus secondary data collection relating to community wellbeing in the City, including the development of a data collection manual to enable future data collection to be undertaken in house
- The Riverland Region – the collection and analysis of national, state, and local secondary data relating to the Region’s population, economy and wellbeing captured in a comprehensive Evidence Report
Outcomes and impact measurement
- City of Perth – development of a Community Wellbeing Indicators Framework to establish a means of understanding and measuring the wellbeing dimensions of the community
- Churches of Christ WA – the development of an Outcomes Measurement Guide for churches to use project evaluation
- Riverland Region – development of an evidenced-based Wellbeing Measurement Framework
Board and executive support
- Churches of Christ WA, Wells Funding Project – development of a grant-making framework and supporting processes to attract and assess project proposals, and measure the performance and social impact of funded projects
- University of Melbourne (Custom Education) – development of a Best Practice Manual that captured and clearly articulated key policies and processes with a view to developing capacity, facilitate shared understanding and drive and reinforce desired behaviour during a time of change.
- Australian Accounting Standards Board Research – Board Papers on the extent to which reporting on social impact should be part of the external reporting of Australian not-for-profit entities
- Shelter WA – service model review to support the achievement of strategic objectives and program funding requirements
- Bethanie – delivery of a strategic board review designed to improve board effectiveness, strategic alignment and decision making.
Business development strategy and support
- Business Station, ASBAS Tender Response Development – strategic tender support for a successful $5.68 million national tender
- Business Station, SBDC Tender Support – development of a comprehensive tender response for the delivery of the Small Business Development Corporation’s Regional Business Local Program
- Shelter WA Tender Support – strategic support to enable Shelter WA to effectively respond to a significant state government tender.
- Starling Energy Tender Support – development of a successful $10 million tender response for an innovative metered solar battery solution as part of a trial for 360 residential buildings Karratha.

- Riverland Region – design of a place-based collaborative advocacy framework as part of the Advocacy and Funding Strategy
